+ Limited Travel Spray Edition

Editions de Parfums is a platform designed to allow me to work with artists to whom I feel close. Since the company is mainly dedicated to the creation of new scents, the perfumers are often in the spotlight. The company was also founded for them!
However, the design of our stores and the publications of our books also gave me the opportunity to work with designers and artists such as Andrée Putman, Patrick Naggar or Konstantin Kakanias.
Having more collaborations felt natural to me, this is why I asked Pierre Hardy – whose work I’ve admired for many years – to reinterpret the travel sprays that I had designed previously for Editions de Parfums.

Pierre Hardy is one of the few people who allies luxury and rigorous design.
His work often obeys the precept of Bauhaus, according to which form is dictated by function. Indeed, Pierre never gives into unnecessary opulence, nor into excess of minimalism. Because I so admire this balance and because we are often interested in the same things, I wanted to publish his work.
I wanted luxurious cases for our travel sprays’ refills (10ml). So, Hardy revised the shape of the metal cylinder that we already used by adding a concave top, reminiscent of some sculptures by Anish Kapoor. He then thought of adding a color gradient by hand spraying the tubes with the kind of epoxy paint that is generally used for cars bodyworks.

Limited to 1500 copies, these objects are therefore all unique pieces. Nine versions are available:
Bronze and White, Bronze and Celadon, Bronze and Coral, Aluminum and White, Aluminum and Celadon, Aluminum and Black, Matte Black and Klein Blue, Matte Black and Red, Matte Black and Shiny Black.

Purely aesthetic but with no ostentation, these objects represent a luxury of the mind, a voluptuous minimalism.

They are a perfect parallel to what we try to do everyday with the perfumers.
